Greenprinting Initiative

Community festival is planned for June 12th.  The committee is looking for volunteers -  the sign-up sheets from the last general meeting have been misplaced so anyone volunteering their time please see Lena.

Major McNamara

As of February 1, 2004 the district has moved to a community policing philosophy.  Hot topics are homelessness and robberies.  Major McNamara also stressed police officers and residents should know criminals in the neighborhood.  They are also targeting repeat car thieves and increasing bike patrolling and addressing traffic issues.

Homelessness Action Plan – Major McNamara and the rest of the police community is trying to come up with a plausible solution to homelessness.

Major McNamara encouraged residents to call the non-emergency number when things aren’t right.  We know our neighborhood better than anyone else and would have a better sense of what and who should be around and what or who should not.  The non-emergency number is 221-6130 and anyone can use www.tampagov.com for online inquiries and tips.

Meeting Adjourned

General meeting adjourned at 8:11 p.m.  The next general meeting is May 27, 2004.
