Greenprinting

The May 15 community festival at Robles Park from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m has been changed to June 12th.  It will be a family affair with games and a copy of the final plan will be available.  Anyone with questions should contact James Burson at 221-8266 or jburson@tampabay.rr.com. Any questions or to get involved with this program contact Mr. Burson or Jennifer Sterling of the Mayor’s Beautification Program at 221-8733.

Metropolitan Planning Organization

The MPO gave an update on the 2025 Transportation Plan.  There will be a public meeting on Monday, April 19th at Blake High School.  For more information on the plan visit www.plan2025.org.  For information on the public meeting contact Chris Waldman at 813-273-3774 x350.

Code Enforcement complaint forms

Mary says all the complaint forms have been issued to respective code enforcement officers.  Unfortunately, the forms were distributed before copies were made so there is no way to track the progress.  If your problem does not get addressed please contact Mary for follow-up.

Yard of the Month

Mary would like to establish this program to promote taking care of your yards.  The winners will receive a sign of recognition to display for the month.  This program is slated for the summer months.

Citizen of the Year Award

THCA would like to request for the membership to suggest someone in the community who deserves an award of this nature.

Web site Host

We need a new web site host.  The current host is expensive and inefficient.  After consulting with Mike and Malina Spokas the THCA board will develop some ideas for securing a new web site host allowing more freedom and space to create a great web site for our community.

Stewardship Committee

This committee meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at St. James House of Prayer (the Stone Church) at 6:30 p.m.

Spypack Chatter

Officer Skypack and Officer Rhodes have been working to secure some vacant properties on Alfred.  In addition they are occasionally monitoring speed on Florida Avenue.  The posted speed limit is 35 mph.

ARC Guideline Books

The THCA will be selling ARC guideline books for the Tampa Heights District.  Anyone interested please contact Mary Hernandez.
