Ray & Darele Campbell

  Owen House, ca. 1904

Charles and Catherine Owen built this home in 1904. Mr. Owen was the treasurer and manager of the Avery & Owen Company, a wholesale fruit and vegetable company on Whiting Street. Ray and Darele Campbell purchased and started renovating the property in September 1995.

Approximately 14 months later in November 1996, the renovations were complete. The curved porch was restored using old photographs and the perimeter wall was recreated mostly with original split face blocks and caps. The home's exotic sub-tropical color combination, inviting porch and beautiful tin roof make it an asset to Tampa Heights. The interior of the house features original hard wood flooring, 12-foot ceilings and classic Victorian furniture.
