Jobsite is an ensemble-based 501(c)(3) non-profit professional theater company that has served the Tampa Bay area since 1998. We are the official resident theater company of the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Tampa, FL.

Jobsite has become a vital regional presence through professionally-produced daring and unique programming; by nurturing regional talent through our Ensemble Program; and through developing a broad audience reflective of the city’s creative class.

An historical area of emphasis has been the creation of new work and re-exploration of known texts. The 2025-26 season marks the 27th year we’ve dedicated a mainstage production to a new show (Penelope).

Jobsite is committed to community engagement. We provide weekday matinees and in-class outreach opportunities to middle and high schools, and also regularly work with colleges across five counties. We frequently partner with community organizations and host public forums, bringing people together in dialogue on a range of topics. We offer free and reduced-cost access to a number of groups within our community: LMI populations, students, persons 65+, as well as members of the military, veterans, and their families.

Our neighborhood is also home to a vibrant mural and street art scene. While the greatest density can be found on Franklin Street with the Heights Wall and headed north to the walls of Robertson Billiard & Spas, you can find murals tucked away and ever popping up.

If you have a wall that you would like to house a beautiful display of public art, please reach out to your Tampa Heights Civic Association and we can put you in contact with a muralist.

Tampa Heights Murals

While we encourage everyone to support all of the incredible businesses that call Tampa Heights home, we extend a special thank you to our Business Members and Sponsors who actively invest in our neighborhood.

Through their time, resources, facilities, and product support, these businesses help make our events, fundraisers, and community projects possible. Their commitment directly supports the work of the Tampa Heights Civic Association and the continued growth and vibrancy of our neighborhood.

We are truly grateful for your support.
